Spray Some Tea On It

In the movie, My Big Fat Greek Wedding, the father character thought that everything from illness, to burns, to scrapes or huge wounds, could be healed with Windex. With all the tea can prevent and heal, from preventing Strokes, cancer prevention, to skin and hair health – who’s to say that Black Tea cant be our Windex? And it is in more ways than one.

To brew Black Tea Window Cleaner:
• Brew strong black tea. I used 3 bags of Irish breakfast tea to 8 oz boiling water.
• Steep and allow to fully cool, about an hour.
• Transfer cleaner to spray bottle or dip cotton cloth into solution.
• Clean and buff.

And there you have it – a healthy tea and a window cleaner. As it turns out the tannic acid in black tea acts as a cleaning agent to dissolve dirt and grease. And even better, it smells better than Vinegar, the other alternative to Windex.

So next time you’re feeling down or hurt – just spray some tea on it. At the very least it will heal the smudgy parts on your window, if not healing painful wounds.

Black tea also takes the burn out of a sunburn. Being very fair skinned, I often got sunburned while growing up, and my parents sprayed me down with a spray bottle filled with luke-warm brewed black tea. While I would have preferred to be the sprayer instead of the sprayee, the tea took the burn out every time. 🙂 Too bad they didn’t know tea cleans windows…they could have sprayed me and the windows at the same time!
